Lighting effect question

Hello,
The issue is that my flashlight(spotlight) is leaving its light effect(more like its color on the surface then it slowly dissipates) on the surface of meshes. Can anyone tell me how to remove the effect?

Turn off Lumen?

It is lumen.
Is there a way to let my flashlight not use lumen and every other light source be able to use it?

I’m not aware of any way to do that. See if someone else comes along…

Looking at that smile it means its probably impossible for the moment.

I will leave the thread open for the miniscule chance of there being an answer.

I really don’t know, but I suspect it’s not.

Are you using a point light for the torch?

Sorry for the late reply, I am using a spotlight

PS on this. I found this

You can tweak the Lumen update speed. Best to change the parameter back afterwards, as this will be quite heavy on the GPU.

Also, you can just turn off Lumen for the torch scenes, and turn if back on afterwards.

Command is

r.DynamicGlobalIlluminationMethod 0 ( or 1 )
