I just test played my level and was shocked how horrible the lighting looks compared to in editor. This has never happened before. It looks as if it reverted to the lowest quality setting in the game.
Is that a glitch on the server side that will be fixed or is it something that I have to address in the editor, maybe due to the latest version upgrade?
Hello Dormikon,
I’d double check your in-game graphics settings. Advanced lighting features don’t get enabled until the graphics are set to ‘High’ or higher.
Thanks @Astrotronic for getting back to me. I tried that, and it froze Fortnite to a point that I had to use the task manager to end the app.
Since this never happened before and i did not change any lighting in the editor I guess I just wait for the next upgrade to see if that fixes it.
Right now, Fortnite seems to set the render settings to low. Is it possible that that happens when a certain project size is exceeded? ( It’s at 43 % with about 90 fps ), or some other bottle neck is reached ?
Today was able to change the in game graphics settings, and the problem is solved.
Thanks @Astrotronic !
I have the same issue, playtested today and it looks like windows 98 in session. But great in editor.
My graphic settings are on EPIC, even set it low and to epic again but no success
Two additional things I’d check is that you’re not running in ‘Performance Mode’ and you are using DirectX 12.
