So I’m working on a map and I’m trying to making it a night scene. I have the stars set up but there is no light so I added an additional directional light. Would that cause any problems? Also when I add grass with foliage it says the light map is too big. I have reduced the actor count but still no luck. Any help?
In foliage editor, select your foliage type and in settings there will be Lightmap option. Just tick on it and the value for lightmap will be 8. This will override default assigned lightmap value.

Thanks I will do that. But my other question if you can help is this…I went to the extent of deleting all the foliage characters and tried building the lighting but even after about 40min it would stay at 0%. Would having the directional light added with the skybox lighting be the problem? Or should I just start over? Because I made a closed map with a bunch of detail and the lighting build had no problems and started less than 5min.
