Hi Everyone, I’m a developer working on Mac and developing for consoles.
I always had the issue of lighting not building and my solution was to allow all UE4 processes past the firewall. Now with the new mac OS “Ventura” all the system preferences are different and even if you turn off your firewall altogether UE4 will still not render lighting. Just to be clear this goes for all versions of the engine across UE4 and UE5.
So far I have tried:
- Multiple versions of Unreal Engines
- Multiple projects
- Turning off firewall
- Adding firewall access to all unreal apps including editor
- UDP Plugin on
- UDP Plugin off
- Updating X code and allowing through Firewall
- Deleting X code, reinstalling, restarting computer and allowing through Firewall
