Lighting behaving weird when moving away a certain distance from brush

Hey,
im doing a course for UE5 on Udemy and i have a simple brush with a subtractive box for a door. I placed a spot light behind the wall and when i move a certain distance away from it, it seems to completely ignore the wall and the light pierces through the entire wall. Ive attached a gif for reference. Do you know if im missing some setting or how else to fix this wrong behavior? Thanks in advance!
