Light Propagation Volumes not working With Forward Shading

I was hoping someone here could confirm my suspicions that LPV does not work with Forward Shading?

My main project crashes at startup, and a new empty project with both enabled also crashes.
I’ve confirmed the same in both 4.14 and 4.15 on my machine.

Is anyone able to confirm this? I expect LPV isn’t compatible with forward shading, but I’m just curious as to whether it’s possibly just a bug/issue for me and that it does work.

It doesn’t work for me either. I also experience a crash when enabling both.

It’s a shame because it’s a great low cost feature that I think would work really well in combination with forward rendering for VR.

Besides the lack of implementation is there a technical reason why it can’t work with forward rendering?

LPV is considered a legacy feature that’s not fully supported even in deferred shading mode. Don’t expect it to work correctly with newer features.
