Light Propagation Volumes (GI) causes game to crash in VR-mode

Same here, When i turn stereo on, even in the buggy template. It crashes. Cant get my VR to work at the moment with U4, which is pain as i have lost a month waiting for official 4.8 as the previews has had a lot of work arounds so ive left it to version.

Just a heads up since post is from a while ago: As of 4.9, LPV still only renders in one eye. No crashes for me though. Any eta on a fix to this?

Sorry to bump this. LPV seems to work well for me (UE 4.9.1 + 0.7). I noticed, however, that having a movable skylight in the scene causes different rendering in each eye.

@joe.real, dang, I need both those things as well. Throwing my hat into the ‘please fix’ pool here.

Movable skylight issue is easily reproducible for me in Epic’s SunTemple project.

On the other hand, I can’t reproduce it on Epic’s StarterMap. I got dynamic bounce lighting from enabling LPV and changing the directional light to movable. Then I changed the skylight to movable as well, but it rendered fine in VR. I checked the Minimal_Default map where I added some building static meshes and repeated the experiment, and it, too, rendered okay in VR. I’m trying to figure out what’s different among the maps.

I wonder if it’s something to do with the quality settings on Sun Temple, given it’s geared towards mobile.
