light mass volume

If you have an exterior with lots of foilage and total dynamic lights. Do you need a light mass volume?


No. Lightmass is prebaked (static) lighting. For Open World,you should rely on Dynamic Lighting.

Thanks for your quick reply really helped. if you are not compiling your scene, then am I right in assuming an objects light mass quality will always be at the default 64 sampled quality?

When you don’t built lighting, Lightmaps are not generated.
