Light Issues!

Hi

I have made a simple Scene wit the Standard Assets but i have a Problem with the Light i made a video about it.

Is this a Effect when yes how can i disable or manipulate it?

First the Flickering (disable light when not look at it?) and second the fade out and fade in when you look at the Point Light?

Hi Rigjaw,

The Light from your fire popping/flickering is because you’ve not setup the bounds for the particle system. So when you turn far enough away from it it is disabled. Just increase these bounds for it to stay lit for the fire light.

For the light fade in issue this is simply Auto Exposure (Eye Adapation). To disable it you can just add an unbound (checkbox to enable) post process volume and then set the min/max brightness options to 1.0 for them to stay a constant level. You can always go back and tweak it later to fit your needs but if it’s a distraction in what you’d like right now it’s good to disable while working on editing your level.

For the light turning on and off, I have two questions:
1: what mobility setting are your lights set to
2: have you baked lighting

For the fading in/out, that’s the auto exposure blending between the Very Bright ‘fire’ particle and the Very Not Bright point lights. try increasing the intensity of the point lights, or decrease the intensity of the fire light, and go in to your Post Process volume and play with the min/max exposure.
