Hello, hello
So, I’ve been trying to wrap my head around a “problem” I have with my little project. I made a camping lantern, and I wanted to give a bit of refraction to the plexiglas, but when I do, there’s a kind of halo in some places that bothers me, and I would want to get rid of it.
It’s mostly visible on the left one, but you can still see it slightly on the right one. Even if I reduce the emissive and the lights of the lantern, it’s still here (I guess maybe because of the lights of the scene), as you can see here :
I have a slight bloom but it doesn’t affect it much, it just “blur” it a bit if I crank it up.
So, I’m thinking it might be my translucent material that might be bad (I must admit I’m a bit bad at it, especially that now I can choose what kind of refraction I want x) ). I guess I can use the same “preset” as a glass shader, even if it’s plastic… I guess. Here’s the material :
And I’m using a CineCameraActor for the rendering, with the basic settings, just changed some things like focal lenght, focus, etc, I don’t know if it could be part of that.
Thanks in advance for any answer or lead !
