Hi there, for my project, I needed a large water plane for an ocean. Instead of make one huge highly subdivided plane, I made 1 small 10m x 10m one that has 3 LOD stages. I then put it in a blueprint as a hierarchical instanced mesh and tiled it in the x and y with a foreach loop in the construction script. It runs very well, but I have an issue.
My sun light (dynamic directional) has a light function material to simulate cloud shadows. It looks fine on everything except the water. Directly below me it works as intended, but then stretches out in the x and y like bands. anyone have an idea how to fix this without removing my light function?
