Problem solved!
Hey ,
Could I please see how your spotlight is set up? I am currently in 4.7.6 and have set up a spotlight upside down and the light is shining off of the wall without any trouble. I did not change any of the settings except the rotation of the light. It’s also showing up on the ceiling, as you can see below:
Looking forward to hearing back from you, thanks!
Hey ,
this is the setup of our spotlight. All other spotlights in our game work fine, but the spotlights in this floor are only shining on the ceiling.
Hey,
Thank you for providing me the screenshot with the settings of your light. I have not been able to reproduce this. Are you using the same exact settings on the walls in each of your levels? Also, are you using the same spotlights from each level that are facing upwards. Have you tried creating new lights as well?
If it’s not too much trouble, could you provide me with that level and spotlight asset so I can import it into a map and test it out? You can submit the link to me in a private message on the forums, so no one else has access to your project files.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hello,
maybe it is important to say that before building the light, the light is shining on the wall.
Hey,
Thanks for letting me know that it’s not showing up once you’ve built the lighting. Did you any of the light rendering settings under the build tab? If so, could you please take a screenshot of those setting so I can continue to try and replicate this.
Do you have ‘visible’ selected in the rendering section of ‘details’ for your spotlight?
If the settings weren’t changed, I will need to obtain a zipped version of your project. I need to figure out if this is your project specifically or if it’s a setting that was accidentally turned on.
Thanks!
