I tried working with the DMX light beam material to simulate event lights without having to flood the space with volumetric fog. But the beams become very low res once you move away a bit.
Is there a solution to increase the resolution or decrease the dropoff?
Volumetric fog settings dont seem to affect the material and i tried increasing the resolution of the used textures but to no effect.
I literally found a solution 5min later. For anyone seeing this, use premade beams in the engine content instead. Just search “beam” and you will find them. This could have saved me hours of struggling.
