This week, Caleb Cuznerventures beyond his usual medley of electronic sounds to establish a Middle Eastern atmosphere in The Prodigal Son.

Created for a 5-minute clip on the Biblical parable of the same name, the track’s Arabian melody is produced by a blend of middle eastern scales, layered western harmonies, the ney flute and the lute. Interested in using the composition or a derivative of it in your own game? Drop Caleb a message.

With elements of the ambient genre, Sam Oz considers his work on The Night of Miracles most appropriate for a sci-fi/adventure setting.

Easy listening to get your feet tapping through Tuesday; this is an in-game track from Project R3D’s upcoming sci-fi, Metroidvania styled platformer for AGA Amiga devices.

Called R3D, the game has amassed a total of 34 songs for its near 2-hour OST that has been contributed to by retro game music composer Simone Bernacchia. This track, being developed for combat-free transition areas within the game.

**Watching The Detectives OST - Thirty-Second Samples | Will Phillips

Three tunes, thirty-seconds each, for triple the funk; Will Phillips previews an addition of guitar riffs, horn lines, cymbals and strings fit for a 70s-era cop show.

Although created for upcoming comedy series Watching the Detectives, Phillips is constantly open to creating a similar, groovy flavor of music for your games.

Complementary to tech-thrillers and similar works of science-fiction, Van Reeves’ Man Machine Interface is an obvious tribute to Masamune Shirow’s Ghost in the Shell franchise.

Spooky Springs is the first from a 10-Track OST Will Phillips has been developing for Bodhi Games’ unannounced, 3D platformer since Q4 2016.

Drawing inspiration from Grant Kirkhope’s playful style, the near two-minute loop is meant for a haunted, wild-west ghost-town level, appropriately combining guitars, clip-clopping of hooves, and the fiddle. Like it? There’s more to come but for orchestral jazz/latin/rock/funk music requests of your own, get in touch.

Brooding, dark and ambient, here is a sample of cutscene music created for Project R3D’s upcoming sci-fi, Metroidvania styled platformer for AGA Amiga devices.

Called ‘Enemy Shows’, the track is but one from a 2-hour OST that retro music composer Simone Bernacchia has created for the project. Did you know Simone has been creating music for Amiga homebrew games, commercials and now modern-retro games since 1989?

Created for a sequence where the film’s characters are seen carrying out their daily chores through a period of emotional distrust, this 2-minute composition is called Doubts.

Of the ambient genre, it is one of fifteen tracks Alfredo Sirica has created for Running Wild Films and 5J Media produced 2016 feature film Porches and Private Eyes. With a background in classical music, Alfredo is actively looking for story-driven gaming adventures to create soundtracks for.​

What makes it all the more relevant to myself is that playing in the background is the game’s title theme, worked on by retro game music composer JMD - Jovanotti MUST Die whom I’ve been repping since late 2015.

Bridge Strike is an upcoming top-down shooter for Commodore Amiga 1200’s, in development by Project R3D, with an entire OST developed by JMD.
