Interpreting Monty Python’s classic Lumberjack Song, our retro musician JMD - Jovanotti MUST Die renders the title theme for Amiga OCS/ECS game Lumberjack Reloaded. A Timberman port by COBE, Project R3D and Lemming880, the game has players cut down a tree as fast as they can while avoiding the branches above.

Carried Away Now On Steam Greenlight; Launch Trailer Features Music By Alfredo Sirica**
Huge Calf Studios’ maiden game venture, a bridge-building physics puzzler named Carried Away, went live on Steam Greenlight last weekend. What makes it all the more special for us is that Alfredo Sirica, affiliated classical musician, has put together the game’s launch trailer theme.
This is the first collaboration we’ve helped effect for Alfredo since his joining us in December; we go in to the details here, while also linking you to Carried Away’s Steam page.
Here’s even more Caleb Cuzner composed music from the Stormy Level of upcoming retro/modern platformer, Ninja Cube. While Ultimate Storm’s sombre & foreboding tune is the level’s main background theme, The Thundermaster is a remixed, upbeat version of the same track for the level’s boss fight.

Missile Destroyer, Van Reeves’ latest ambient composition, takes the Halo: Combat Evolved OST and infuses it with motifs from the musician’s recent work. Having recently completed Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, he describes the tune as an undercurrent of ominous intensity that attempts to fit the atmosphere of the franchise.

With ‘Presence of Evil’, Will Phillips attempts to emulate the evil, dirge-like theme of Star Wars’ Emperor Palpatine. Created for the soundtrack of web series, Dagger Kiss’ second season, the musician regards this to be his most menacing composition yet. Do you agree?

Sam Oz may not have been a fan of audio sample libraries, but his foray into jolly, orchestral sounds had his mind changed. Called Beyond Adventure and composed nearly two years ago, the track marks his first experiment with this style of music. It was also his first time putting an audio sample library to use, particularly Sonokinetic: Vivace.
Cities in classic turn-based game, Heroes of Might and Magic II, were fundamental to the game’s strategic core. Used to allocate resources, fund armies, hire heroes and do business, each city level also had its own theme.
One such city level theme was City of the Necromancer, which our musician JMD - Jovanotti MUST Diehas de-made for an upcoming Amiga port of H.O.M.M. II. He walks us through the track’s evolution, his creative process and experience working on the port’s OST thus far.

Alfredo Sirica’s successful collaboration with Huge Calf Studios on their bridge-building physics puzzler, Carried Away, had resulted in him developing the game’s launch trailer theme late last month.
This week, the artist shares what was his original composition for the game’s trailer. Aptly titled Swing Away, it differs from the current version is in its more prominent use of brass in the second half (0:40 onwards)-- adding much more intensity to the composition in the process.
The current version of the launch trailer theme meanwhile may be heard for comparison in the game’s trailer below.
Sam Oz’s tribute to 2011 film, From Up on Poppy Hill, is a composition of the piano, clarinet and cello.
The track of course, being one of seven from the musician’s ongoing tribute to Japanese animation studio, Ghibli, that is available for download via Bandcamp.
