Yes, as a UE novice and technically challenged person, I struggled to remember which of the 5000 settings were important to change (now i have a list like you)
Only now I realize the export prefs button works per category, but there are so many (counted like 100 plus excluding plugins) its ridiculous
I totally agree with your first post; i too wish it were more user friendly. A simple ‘export/import all Editor Prefs/Proj Settings’ should be the base standard (isnt it like this in most software?)
Tech is meant to relieve manual labor/ aid our productivity. The advances in Rendering, Strata mat etc are a stark contrast to this unintuitive, labor intensive import export method.
I think its truly Unreal… lol
