Lens Flare with custom skydome


I’m new to UE4 so please bear with me.

I’ve made a custom sky dome using a UV mapped Sphere. What I’d like to know is how do I get the lens flare on the sun? as my custom dome cuts it off.



I assume you simply connected the sky dome texture to the emissive pin in the material.

For the lens flare to show up you need an increased emissive value in your material. To only let it show up at the sun position,
you could use a mask and multiply the emissive value.

A better solution would be to use a HDR texture.
