I’ve watched the Unreal vid with the rockets and tricycles. Neat but not helpful to learn how to set them up and use them.
I want to use them for is my city scene I’m working on. For instance asphalt with cross walk lines, sidewalks with cracks placed here and there over the tile I’m using or dirt and rocks in a construction hole etc…
What is the set up I need as I’ve never used them before. I assume a mask to blend between two maps using separate UV channels etc…
I’m using bitmaps for all my texture work not vectors or anything.
Could someone make an example material with 2 to 3 or more textures being blended together using masks and take a large snap shot so I can see how its done. Would be great.

You can example materials with related documentation in Learn tab. It’s great source of information and useful assets so I don’t recommend to avoid it
In Learn tab find “Content examples” and then, after download, open “Materials …” levels. There exist special level for material layers workflow
