Hello, I have a question for anyone who can help. I’ve been trying to understand layered materials more in unreal 4. So I have created two material functions, and I bring them into my material, I use a mask to layer them, but when I layer them the Normal map from the base material is one the top material. I can’t get both normal maps to show. Here are my material functions and material. If anyone can shed some light, much would be appreciated!!
Are you sure both normal maps were imported as normal maps and that your alpha is going from full 0 black to 255 white? Looks like those normals are imported as default textures from the screenshots.
I remade the mask to where it was full black and white. And I checked the normals, the’re set to be World normal map in the texture group.
I got it to work!
