Summary
On my Epic account, the Unreal Engine → Library page in Epic Games Launcher 20.3.7 shows no engine versions. The yellow “Install Engine” button and the “+” next to Engine Versions do nothing, and the Unreal Engine EULA has never been shown to me. Sign-in works normally. The launcher log says “found 0 entitled apps” on every start. This looks the same as threads 2840123, 2844695 and 2845382. Epic’s help centre says Epic Games Support can’t assist with Unreal Engine directly, so I’m reporting it here.
What Type of Bug are you experiencing?
Other
Steps to Reproduce
- Sign in to Epic Games Launcher 20.3.7 on Windows 11 Pro.
- Open Unreal Engine → Library.
- Click “Install Engine”, or the “+” next to Engine Versions.
Expected Result
The Unreal Engine EULA appears, engine versions are listed, and I can install Unreal Engine 5.8.
Observed Result
Nothing happens. There’s no EULA and no error, the Engine Versions list stays empty, and nothing is queued in Downloads. Every launcher start logs:
LogCommunityPortalAppManager: EoshState = WaitingForBuildsAndItemFiles
LogCommunityPortalAppManager: LoadItemFiles: Loaded 0 item files in 0.0 secs
LogCommunityPortalOSS: Display: ...found 0 entitled apps
LogEOSManagerEGL: EOS Auth Login succeeded
Some starts also log “Timed out waiting for startup ack from EpicWebHelper”, but the result is the same with or without those warnings.
Already tried, without success (2–3 November 2026):
- Fully exited the launcher (all Epic processes, including the tray, EpicWebHelper and the overlay) and restarted it several times
- Cleared the launcher web cache twice
- Started the launcher with -http=wininet (log says “-HTTP=WinInet is no longer valid”)
- Ran the latest official installer. It opened the launcher as administrator, which fixed a “FixLauncherInstallDirectoryPermissions … failed with 5” error but not the entitlement.
- Added the free Game Animation Sample to my Fab library and tried creating a project from it (the forum workaround)
- Windows Security shows no blocked Epic files. About 250 GB is free on the install drive.

Not applicable. Nothing crashes; the install buttons just do nothing.
Additional Notes
Epic Games Launcher 20.3.7, Windows 11 Pro (10.0.26200), NVIDIA RTX 3080.
Could Epic please check the Unreal Engine entitlement / engine catalog for my account, or show me the EULA so I can accept it? I can provide the full launcher log privately if needed.
