Landscape vs. DataLayers

Hi

We are currently (still) on 5.6, should Landscale vs. DataLayers work there correctly ?

Currently I see no way to assign created Landscape to existing DL (from Details panel or Data Layers panel).

Also creating new Landscape while “current” DL is active (Actor Editor Context feature) does not assign Landscape to this DL.

The only option for now is to write simple blutility that does the trick (it works).

So my question is - it’s a bug, or is there any other artist friendly way of assigning/creating Landscape in existing DL ?

(out of the box, without any custom made tools)

Hello!

You can assign a LandscapeStreamingProxy to a DL through the right-click menu on the LSP in the Outliner. You must make sure that the desired the DL is currently set as the current one.

  • Make Current Data Layer (double click on DL in DL outliner or right-click -> Make Current Data Layer)
  • Select the LDProxies
  • right-click on selection and choose “Data Layer -> Apply Actor Editor Context”
