Hello everyone! I ran into a pretty mean issue today that I just can’t solve. So, I’m making a tire deformation system for my racing game, and my raceway (landscape spline) is not projecting distance fields. If anyone has any ideas or solutions, I would be happy to hear them. I have a few photos to share. Here’s the offroad and on road photos, note the tire deformation.
Here is my rubber material that I’m using to create this effect.
So, I also have some photos of the visualization for those who need it. As you can see, the bottom photo with global distance field visualizations doesn’t even render the road.
Something else to know, I have Generate Mesh Distance Fields enabled in project settings and there are no explicitly labeled parameters to turn it on for the landscape spline like you can with a regular mesh.
