so, I’ve created my master material for the landscape, painted it, however the textures seem to be completely flat. My understanding is that normal maps should make textures “3D” to a certain extend, no? That doesn’t work for landscapes, or have I failed to select something somewhere? I’ve kept everything in the “details” of the material to default.
The normal maps give textures a 3d look but don’t actually change the shape of the mesh/landscape etc… What you would need to do is add a displacement texture to the material to give it an actual amount of 3d to it.
