I’ve followed these tutorials:
where they used material functions and non-weighted layers to make and blend between various materials. This isn’t something described in Epic’s docs and not something that many tutorials discussed.
The method seems to be pretty logical, clean and organized, however now I got some questions that no one is around to answer (the entity behind these tutorials is out of business, so to speak).
How do I put grass on my terrain using this setup?
What is the downside of making material using this setup vs “standard” weighted layers blending as per official docs and many other tutorials ?
