Landscape holes not doing anything visually

So this is my setup, just like in the example provided:

The problem is that while the holes are there (because I fall through when I play the game) The engine gives no indication that a hole is present, they are completely indistinguishable from the landscape except you can fall into them. Can somebody help please ?

Hi Marcomaryred,

Just using the visibility mask I’m still able to see the hole that is painted. However, for the best results, it would be better if you setup the material using the full setup used in this page: Landscape Material Layer Blending in Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation

You’ll want to make sure that you’re plugging the material into your Material slot and the landscape hole material slot.

Thank you!

Tim

Apparently I had everything set up properly, the hole started being visible after I added some landscape layers

I’m not sure exactly why, as I originally did mine without any layers or even just a diffuse color plugged in.

Glad it’s working for you now though!
