Landscape has white circle

Hi there, I am starting to learn UE4 and I’ve really enjoyed it so far, but encountered a problem I have not been able to solve.

I am following a guide and learned how to do some landscapes, materials and textures. After applying a material to a landscape I get the following image (I used lamp material just to show to problem).

And when I try to use a material with more than one material (blended), the white area doesn’t show in black like it is supposed to (image bellow).

I have tried to delete that part of the landscape, but when adding the area again, it results in the same problem.

I think the problem happen because I was trying to add visibility to the landscape before adding a material, but I dont know how to solve it, so if someone can help would really appreciate.

Thanks for reading.

If you try putting your material on a large cube, do you get the same problem?

Ah… I thought it was your material…

Hi there ClockworkOcean, thanks for the help.

I created a new level with 2 cubes and one smaller landscape and I think there might be a problem with my material, here’s a screenshoot.

Should I redo the material? Thanks for the help.

Hi ClockworkOcean, I was able to find the problem, I think it’s a rookie mistake on my part

I had a “SphereReflectionCapture” object in my level, which created a reflection on the floor, when I removed it, the material became all black, has it was supposed to.

Thanks for the help
