Summary
What is happening with the landscape right now?
While I’m painting landscape textures and editing or sculpting, the specific sections of the terrain I’m working on keep getting selected automatically (why on earth is it auto-selecting???).
On top of that, I noticed that on the shore’s “sand” paint layer, it automatically changes to a sort of dark mode. I’ve tried several different default/original game materials (the ones with the original automatic textures), and all of them use this same system that auto-switches the paint from “white sand” to “dark sand”. Because of this, I can’t properly shape the shoreline where it meets the sea, as the color changes randomly based on the terrain’s slope.
None of this used to happen before, and it worked flawlessly. Now it’s an absolute mess.
Does anyone know how to fix this without having to create a custom material? I want to stick to the original materials.
Does anyone know how to disable that auto-selection behavior while painting or sculpting? The whole section turns orange, and it’s impossible to paint because you can’t see a thing.
