Summary

The bug I am getting is that at the start of the round, the server lags for everybody and can take several seconds for the guns to appear and be able to break out. Sometimes this lag will teleport you through walls while your glider is popping out a thousand times per second. There is barely any furniture on the map or anything that is demanding. If there is any way I can optimise or resolve this issue, please let me know. For the custom audio on Kill, is there a simple way? I know how to make the audio play and work, but I do not know how to trigger it once you get a kill. That’s all I’m trying to find out. There are barely any tutorials online, and the ones that have seem to not work or are outdated.

Steps to Reproduce

This is a normal 24-player zonewars. I never got to play this map with more than 3 players, so I can’t imagine how laggy it would maybe be with 24 players. I don’t see how you can reproduce unless you copy my map 1:1. You can use the island code I sent and play a couple rounds. And you will see the lag at the beginning of rounds

Expected Result

No lag, normal gameplay at the beginning is what I expect

Observed Result

After a couple rounds or less, there will be lag spikes at the beginning of each round; some lag will make you teleport through walls while gliding, while others will take a lot longer to grant you your loadout.

Hey, is that an ocean, what have you got for distance outside the map ?.

For the audio, try an Elimination Manager and use its on Elimination Event to play the Audio

Hi, thanks for trying to help! Yes, I’ve noticed there’s an ocean under the map. I went my way to delete it and play a handful of rounds to see if the lag was still there. Unfortunately, the lag still appears  I’ve tried to maybe find a possible reason by playing about 15-20 rounds to see if there are any patterns going on, but it looks like the lag is randomly heavier than other rounds and seems to be very randomised. Some lag that still occurs is gliding at the beginning of the round and teleporting through walls, and if you spawn on the first floor of the map, you’ll end up teleporting under the map. The memory usage is 75,000; I don’t know if that’s too much. The map is pretty basic, with buildings and trees. Other than that, I have no clue as to why it’s lagging at the beginning of rounds, and my last resort that I have now is to find any possible help.

Yes there has to be a reason,

When you deleted the ocean did you delete the waterzone too ?

I reckon I deleted that too since I’ve deleted every single thing that’s outside my map. It still seems to lag!

Take note of the time it lags and check the fortnite logs for whats happening at that time.

Also, for the lag at the beginning of each round on the zonewars map, for the log, it doesn’t seem to say anything when I start the game. My first game is starting to get recognition, with an average of 10–30 players, and the lag gets a lot worse when there’s 10+ players, and I can’t imagine the lag when it’s a full 24 player lobbies. I think the lag is holding back the game a lot, as the lag lasts for up to 20 seconds with multiple players. It seems like the more players, the laggier it gets. I have an idea of what could potentially cause it to lag. Is there a limit to the number of spawners before the game starts lagging? I have about a hundred item spawners scattered across the map in buildings and rooms; could this be the case?

i have same problem
When the number of players on the island exceeds 22, a delay in play begins
