Summary

fort_character.EliminatedEvent() when eliminated if character uses right click on kinetic blade.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Subscribe to EliminatedEvent
  2. Use kinetic blade right click
  3. Get eliminated

Expected Result

Eliminated event will fire

Observed Result

Eliminated event does not fire

All 3 variants of kinetic blade are affected. This causes a lot of obscure bugs.

We tried some other events like damaged event and those seem to work fine still.

We also tried a bunch of other items that apply effects or displace you and it also seems to work fine.

This still isnt fixed, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. damagedevent() works tho as a warkaround. i find that sometimes it affects other weapons too later on.

Dude I canā€™t believe this is still a bug, our players were not getting death registered after 3 or 4 deaths couldnā€™t understand why

I still couldnā€™t verify it myself, but it is very likely that itā€™s an issue on our map from what have been reported

As an hint for any Epic dev, players do drop keys (which always drop on death) when dying, seems like a Verse issue

I had the same thing in a gun game and couldnt work it out. Also the gun after this glitched the same thing. I removed it but again couldnt work it out and spent hours trying to then i stumbled upon this

6 updates later still not fixed, did the team say anything about a date ? (for reference I initially reported that in June 2023, almost 2 years ago)

This is why the bug report system needs to be last in first out unless they is a priority bug this should be how its implemented or stuff gets forgotten and 2 yrs later still an issue :frowning:

Ironically if the system worked as this i wouldnt have had the bug then search the forums then posted then other people posted ect ect all that time and effort saved

Tbh I think my initial report never got sent to their backend, it was before they did the ā€œIssueā€ forum category
