Keyword Searching for just UEFN content

I’m trying to do keyword searches of just UEFN content in the Forums. It seems that this content is falling into the Unreal Engine topic and the search doesn’t allow the category to be narrowed to just UEFN content. I’m getting way too many results from all over the place and filtering options don’t seem to provide a way to narrow to just UEFN content. Ideally I would search for a keyword and get all the occurrences in just UEFN categories sorted by most recent and groups by category.

+1, this used to work before a forum migration happened. Upon clickin “search” top right, a dropdown will pop that let you press it to filter results to the page you were currently on, and I used that all the time. Now I can’t search anymore and its very tedious to go through 2 pages and lots of filters to get what I am searching for.

This is extremely frustrating, and it makes the Forums nearly unusable for one of the main functions of community Forums - searching for information by keyword, and sharing information that others can search for.

Didn’t there used to be an option to do an Advanced Search? I can’t find it anymore. Is that what you’re talking about, @Wertandrew ? I think it used to be in the upper right corner. It wasn’t a perfect solution because it was confusing to find and confusing to use. But I think it’s gone now? Or is it somewhere else?

I clicked on the Search button at the top of the Forums and found this? I tried searching for commonly used words like “Viewport” “UEFN” and “Materials” and there were no results. Maybe I’m using Search wrong, but if so, why is it so hard to use?

Yeah this used to show the current category you were in, instead of just “unreal engine”

This type of search should be working again.

With your search term after the %20
