Volumetric clouds look as though antialiasing has no effect on the volume, in addition, it’s shaking badly, especially along the horizon.
What could be causing this behavior?
A little context: this is a new issue and clouds looked perfectly normal before, but they also appeared in front of every mesh. I managed to fix that somehow by messing with the project settings, but I may have messed a little too much, and now I have this:
Hi @ExopackVFX,
Oof, can’t say I’ve ever seen this issue before.
The Volumetric Clouds are overall a very stable engine feature. I would try reverting any changes you’ve made to them / testing them out in a new project. I also recommend this because if you’re still running into the issue where they’re appearing in front of meshes, this is at least an easier problem to diagnose and thus hopefully fix.
If you’ve made permanent changes to any of the engine-provided volumetric cloud assets, you will have you either reimport them from another engine version or reinstall your engine to replace them with the correct files.
That’s a few good points. My gut is telling me something is not right at either engine or project settings level, also because I have no idea I have fixed the foreground cloud issue in the first place. I thought it was something to do with switching to Vulkan, than back to DX12, or maybe turning on MegaLights, but after literally going through every setting, i was not able to “break it back”.
I’m tempted to rebuild the whole thing into a fresh project, perhaps in 5.6 when we get a stable release.
