I have noticed that sometimes the objects in the test environment are missing or have a different orientation than in the UEFN…
It’s difficult to give specific steps to reproduce here, but I wanted to ask if the issue is already known? Sometimes it helps to delete the object (e.g. switch) and add it again - sometimes it helps (e.g. with a wall) to mirror it and then mirror it again.
It sometimes seems to be a problem with mirrored assets… For example, if you take two identical walls and mirror one of them… Then, for example, you place a switch in front of the wall and attach it to the wall (child)… In UEFN the switch is the same in each case, but in the test environment the child dependency seems to cause the switch to behave in a mirrored manner…
So it could be that some assets get the “mirroring” hidden in the test, but not in UEFN!
Thanks for the extra info, I see what you are saying.
That’s the sort of thing that should be included in the ‘Steps to Reproduce’ section of the bug report.
Issues that happen “Sometimes” would be a lot harder to fix though, so finding a way to reliably reproduce it 100% of the time would greatly increase the odds of a fix.
I tried setting up what you described, but I was not able to reproduce it
Yes, I know “sometimes” is difficult to reproduce - but if it were easy to trace, the problem would have been solved a long time ago!
Apparently there are several similar threads - so others have already noticed this problem.
What I can give as further information are the following 2 points…:
1.) If I notice one of these “mirroring problems” in the test, then I go back to UEFN there is usually the checkbox active for mirroring AND the symbol on the right “something has been changed regarding the standard” … if I then deactivate the checkbox, then strangely this change symbol remains initially - if I then click the checkbox twice more, it fits both in UEFN, as well as in the test.
2.) Apparently, these differences between UEFN and Test are also partly promoted by attaching objects to others and then changing the size and/or mirroring between them
Sorry that I cannot give 100% instructions for readjustment
