As stated in the title. Working on a gun game game mode and when I try to use an item granter to grant the first gun on game start it just… doesn’t work.
I have the settings enabled that should make it work. The player spawns on a spawner, if that matters.
I can bind the grant item function to the player spawner “On player spawned” but that makes the item granter cycle to the next gun every time the player spawns, which is not what I want. I have the “cycle to next item” function tied to an elimination manager for “on elimination” and “grant on cycle” enabled so that when the player eliminates something they get a new gun. Why having the item granter grant the item on player spawn cycles the item, I don’t know.
@DuncanT Thank you for your report! We would like to look into this further, would you be able to submit a bug report using the form available here? Fortnite Creative
That may not be a bad way of going about it. It might also solve the issue (haven’t tested for this yet, but thought it might come up) of what happens when someone joins an ongoing game.
I’ve marked this as the solution because it works for my needs. That said the item granter is still bugged since the grant on game start option doesn’t work.
IMO this is a big issue, but nothing to solve multiple item giver issues. All have already been bug reported, but because we don’t get a reply from a bug fix, we never know if the issue is actually being addressed. Hand picking through patch notes to see if the issue was addressed seems a less than optimal way to handle it?
