Issues importing large .tif

Hello so I generated an ortho of a solar farm and is viewable within QGIS.

However when I attempt to import this file via drag and drop, I encounter two issues

Unable to retrieve the payload from the source file.
Texture has zero width or height

I did some reading here but doesn’t seem to be a proper solution

It should be noted that my .tif file is large at almost 8GB. Could that be a part of the problem?
Has someone tried importing .tif as textures of similar sizes before successfully?

The goal is to stick this texture onto a flat plane mesh with transparent background and place it geo-accurately in UE.
Any advice on how to overcome this would be great, thanks!

Hello, did you ever find a solution to this? I’m running into this same exact error and your post seems to be the only relevant google search result…

I also have this same issue, though for me it happens with large .png files. My file is 65536px wide, but the error does not occur if I resize it to a size smaller than this.
