Dear Unreal Engine Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I’m currently using Unreal Engine for 3D cinematic animations and have encountered an issue with a semi-truck Alembic cache geometry animation imported from Maya. When I increase the Temporal Samples in the Anti-Aliasing settings to improve render quality, the vehicle’s wheels shrink during rendering.
I’ve tested various export settings in Maya and import settings in Unreal Engine, but none of these seem to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, I’ve been exporting the wheels separately as an FBX, which fixes the problem, but this method is significantly more time-consuming.
Is this a known issue with Alembic in Unreal Engine? If so, are there any solutions or settings I may have overlooked that could fix this without requiring the FBX workaround?
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions you can offer. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!
Best regards,
