Summary
Hello,
I am reporting a critical issue where the Scheduled Publishing feature combined with version updates causes new islands to lose their “New” tab eligibility before they even go live.
The Issue:
If a creator prepares an island for a specific event (e.g., the Star Wars Discovery launch on May 1st) and pushes multiple versions to the schedule in the days leading up to it, the island is categorized as “Updated” instead of “New” the moment it hits the Discovery feed.

Publishing
Steps to Reproduce
1.Upload a new UEFN project and publish an initial version to the Creator Portal.
2.Set a future public release date using the Scheduled Publishing tool (e.g., scheduling for May 1).
3.While the map is waiting for the scheduled launch, push 4-5 additional versions to fix Verse scripts and Widget UI.
- Monitor the Discovery tabs once the scheduled launch time is reached.
Expected Result
The island should appear in the “New” tab on its scheduled release date. The “New” status timer should only start when the island is actually live for the public, regardless of how many internal versions were pushed during the scheduling period.
Observed Result
The island skips the “New” tab and goes directly to “Updated”. The system appears to count internal versioning and the time since the first upload, which punishes creators for refining their map before it officially launches.
