Issue with camera view distorted

Hey guys, does anyone have that weird view I have in my Twinmotion media view ?

Scene view seems distorted when I rotate my camera around :

see view in one direction :

The bed seems super long and narrow, same for the furniture on the left side.

Now rotating camera :

Now the bed seems super wide and short !

This is not the real life viewing, so my rendrings are deformed...

How can I restore a normal looking camera ?

Thank you,

You probably have parallelism active on your camera, it's a great option for certain angles, but it can warp views from certain perspectives such as in your renderings.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and being active in the community. :)

As mentioned, this is likely an effect of Parallelism and the focal length/Field of view. Twinmotion's camera by default will have Parallelism set to off with a 18mm Focal length, or 90° Field of view. You can adjust the Field of view when working in the viewport, or adjust the Focal length as needed when working in Media Mode.

Please see our documentation here for more information on Camera Settings: Visual Settings for Media

Best Regards,

Morgan

Is there a way to set Parallelism to always default to "On" when starting new Scenes instead of manually changing it? [Most use cases for our users don't work well with the default setting to "Off"]

Also can Focal Length and Field of View have user defined defaults for new Scenes?

There is sort of a workaround for this. First, create an initial scene and adjust to your preferred settings like checking parallelism on.

Second, while you have this new scene selected in the Media tab click the plus button. This should create a new view scene copying all of the settings from your original scene including Environment, Camera, Render, FX, and Image settings.

The downside of this technique is that if you need to change your rendering output from 4k to 2k for quicker renderings you have to click through each view and change it manually.

I typically create a base scene for copying, and a "freelook" flying mode scene with parallelism turned off.

Está deformado porque provavelmente você está com as configurações da câmera: "Perspectiva 2 pontos" ativada. Desative essa configuração para vistas onde o observador olha longe da linha do horizonte.

Dear 3D user,

thanks for the reply. I did actually found that myself and turning parallelism off help in reducing that effect.
But I still find that perpective is quite off sometimes when rotating camera.
Do you think of other settings that could influence it ?
Thanks

No problem, I'd recommend adjusting the focal length in the camera settings.

My guess is that you have it set fairly low, maybe under 10mm. I typically keep mine around 16mm-20mm depending on the scene, but experiment with it to find what works best for you.
