Issue with blocky landscape shading

Hello,

I’m having an issue where the landscape looks very low resolution, even though it’s 4x the resolution of the default landscape’s (I’ve kept the default settings, but reduced scale to 25 for this example).

Here’s an example of a hill created with the landmass plugin and one directional light set to ** not cast shadows**:

The light is set to movable, so it should only cast dynamic shadows. Enabling the “Cast shadows” option doesn’t seem to help at all:

I’ve also tried adding a lot of tessellation, but it didn’t help either.

Does anyone know how this could be solved?

I get this with literally any UE project :upside_down_face:, the landscape shading never looks good, no idea what’s wrong, any heightmap produces the same jagged ■■■■
