Issue sideloading/running Unreal APK file on Quest

Hi everyone!

I am having problems viewing on the Oculus Quest a build that I made on Unreal Engine 4.

I have followed the Oculus tutorials on their website and seen videos on YouTube on how to view an APK file on the Quest.

I have done ADB Debugging, put the headset on Developer mode, created an organization on Oculus Developer, and I can successfully download & launch the build on the Quest by clicking the launch button on the UE4.

The problem is that I need to be able to distribute it to other people because it is part of a research project I am working on.

To do that, I packaged my project and selected Android ASTC, moved the APK file to SideQuest, and tried to sideload it from there. It installs successfully and appears in the Unknown Sources tab on the Quest.

However, when I click on it, it is stuck on the loading screen. :confused:

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

There are project settings that need to be configured otherwise it will crash on boot. This video may be able to help you out:
