Additional Notes

I have read through the forums and others are having issues with XP as well, from maps rewarding even when not calibrated, to maps not rewarding anymore like mine

if your player base falls bellow a standard of ccu then it does indeed go back into calibration

Do you have a source for this, and if not can you provide any more details? I’m not the only one experiencing this bug. I just reported it again to get some traction.

i don’t have a source but i have had maps that do and have done this. Its not a bug to my knowledge and is what you would expect.

I don’t understand the behind the scenes to give maps xp calibration status but i imagine its a costly process on some part ie memory on a server or something. If a map has little to no players then why allow xp it doesn’t make sense but would assume they is more to it that we just don’t understand.

If you have a constant player base then this isn’t a issue

I don’t think epic games has problems with server calculations judging from their millions of active players on hundreds of thousands of islands that are hosted on their servers. All of my other maps which have not calibrated ever are still not having accolades fire but my most recent map still has accolades data, just is not rewarding XP. In the forum, other creators have also been reporting XP problems, from re-calibration for no reason to XP being rewarded even though the map is not calibrated. I’m quite sure this is a bug, but thanks for the input. Can you share your island code that started recalibrating after it was rewarding XP without an update? Curious about when it happened and if it was recent as well.

i just assumed you need a constant player base above a value of players set by epic so i never questioned my own map doing this.

I hope you get answers but the likely hood is i dnt think you will.

I have a full issue with xp tbh anyway as players only play maps that grant xp the majority of time and if you dnt ever hit calibration then it never grants. Its such a flawed system imo

I dont understand server things in regards to xp but again why have xp on maps with little or no players

Here is an example of a map that calibrated with a top player base of 38, 8 months ago, that never stopped rewarding xp: 2687-2079-2141
I can’t find any examples of maps that stopped rewarding without an update before the most recent updates.

Your highest CCU was 19 players the past week, you’ve lost XP because your average player count went to low. I think it needs around 500 or 1500 players to calibrate.

Im 100% certain its because you’ve averaged 0-10 playes the past week. That wont calibrate XP sadly.
