Hi everybody, can someone human help me as the moderation staff seem to just want me to play a puzzle game instead of telling me directly what’s wrong
I’ve been sending mails to them, they first answered with :
A violation of the policy “Respect IP Ownership”, has been observed in an audio asset with is a violation of our “Content Rules and Guidelines” as outlined in our Fortnite Island Creator Rules.
Sent a PDF with all the audio files and their asset names / original filenames / license names / download links and device name that shows credit for it. They answered with :
Thanks for the information you provide us, was so helpfully to check more details

Not talking about the audio files there, but they’re not saying that it’s not a problem anymore… … … …
Here’s the list of all the different licenses I use :
Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0) // Always credited in a popup dialog at spawn (title and artist name)
Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) // Always credited in a popup dialog at spawn (title and artist name)
Also the audio files only contains jingles, soft male grunts, gun shots and music.
If someone who has ever done publishing can help me with that
Thank you!
UPDATE : I sent the 8 documents related to the 1.15 Respect IP Ownership section to ChatGPT (as I don’t have a lawyer at hand), but it doesn’t seem to know either…
Hey, sorry to bother you again, but I didn’t have any answer from the team, do you think they’ll be able to reach out to me soon ?
I’ve been trying to publish for nearly a month now and my schedule is getting really tight if I want to publish and run my promotional campaign before going on vacation, which will be too late after because I won’t have my pc to monitor and fix the post publishing bugs.
Also since my last modified version is three weeks old, I’ve already made changes to it, I added new SFX for instance (which I’m also worried about the moderation)
I’m sorry if I’m insisting with this but if I can’t publish at time I’m going to delay 3 month of work and will have to dump some other people work I involved into this.
Also you’re the only person I can talk with, the answers I get from email support are always the same despite the “Hello” being written differently.
I just removed all the references to the audio files (but the one I created) and it’s still not passing moderation (code is 0258-2884-7936)
Strangely the reference viewer of the audio assets still has a Soft Reference (pink arrow) to the audio players eventhough it’s not referenced anymore
I’ll try to remove even the ones I made, then remove the assets, then remove the actors, I’ll update this thread as I try things…
UPDATE: removed all the references in all Audio Player and all Radio, map doesn’t pass moderation still…
UPDATE: Upon removing all the assets in the browser, it seemed to work because it’s now stuck on the “In Review” state. I’ll try to add them one by one to see which one is blocking me but I have to wait for the review to be completed because I cannot cancel it to publish another version.
NOTE: I had to restart UEFN because there were some hidden references that were blocking validation
REMOVED ASSETS CODE : 1964-2168-8317
UPDATE: I cannot seem to be able to publish my map if it contains any song coming from Pixabay, as someone in the discord told me, eventhough the Pixabay license seem very permissive :
I didn’t fully understand why this was a thing, so I asked ChatGPT and he told me the following :
Which seems consistent to me, could anyone confirm that Pixabay has been manually flagged by Epic Games as being not trustworthy ?
NOTE : I managed to publish without using the songs but I’d like to use them still, they are present in the 1520-7731-4785 version, can you validate those assets now so that I can push them again later without having to call staff again ?
