Is there really no way to have true transparency support on an object with metallic/roughness/specular?

I know you can use a masked material with a dither pattern into the mask to get a form of transparency that’s kinda bad (unless it’s from a good distance) for full fledged materials.

Is there really no way to get proper transparency on a fully functional material? Not even a plugin or anything?

Did you set the materials lighting mode to surface forward?
