Sadly not yet.
I do have code some code changes in progress for vertex color transfer from the Import nodes, which will then be able to be turned into weight maps or selections, but no firm release version for it yet.
From 5.7 onwards, there has been a lot of work done on replacing the Cloth Asset editor with the generic Dataflow Editor, and the Weighmap and Selection tools have been improved in the process.
