So I am building a farm game where the player interacts with the foliage around him. I have corn plants in my game through which he can walk through and I did this my replacing static mesh around him within a radius at any given point into a skeletal mesh. I then used Houdini to generate a tool which can create different varieties of the corn plant (static meshes).
Now my question is that "Will I be able to use the skeleton and the physics asset (which I rigged and skinned using Maya for the first corn model) for all the different varieties of Corn plants (static meshes) which I can generate now? "
Basically Can I use the existing skeleton and physics asset for a new static mesh?
