Is there any way to add stuff like Depth of Field to the Viewport camera itself?

Hi guys, second post of the day. Noob territory here for sure…

I have a scene with a character who does some basic animations. I click simulate and he does his thing. I then fly the viewport cam into place then use the HighResShot 4 command to take my lovely shots. All good thus far.

Is there any way to add stuff like Depth of Field to the Viewport camera itself? I have done this with a camera actor but cant figure out how I can use this cam to fly around freely as the scene simulates.

I know this can be done in Matinee, its just far too time consuming to what Ive done already.

Cheers for any help.

Also, bonus Kudos to whomever gets the film quote.

Hi,

Add a post process volume to your scene. In the details locate the check box for “Unbound” and put a check by this. This will make this work for your entire scene instead of just the volume bounds.

Go through and just like in the camera actor you can setup the various effects you would like to be used for the post process.

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Lovely stuff, yes just one more question, how do I add the post process volume to the scene?

Cannot seem to find it by searching

cheers!

Aaron

Just search for it in the actor tab and then drag and drop it into your level
actor.jpg

In Modes panel on the left > Volumes > Post Process Volume. Don’t forget to click Unbound in its properties to make it visible in the whole level.

Got it! Perfect!

You guys rule!

Hi guys, this is working really well, except I cant control the FOV of the viewport camera, is this at all possible? Then I’m 100% set.

Thanks!
