Is there a way to merge skeletal meshes in Editor Time?

I know you can merge STATIC meshes in the editor… and you can merge skeletal meshes at runtime… but I have some modular characters who’s armor ISNT going to change at runtime at all… and i just want the performance boost from combining the meshes… but when i do it at runtime it creates lag spikes…
Is there some tool I’m not aware of in the editor to do this? or do i pretty much have to just use blender or something…

Same question here. I have a Weapon consisting of parts and I want to set it together in Editor (not at runtime). I can attach all parts as sockets in the skeleton mesh view. I there a possibility to bake out and export a skeleton mesh with meshes attached out of preview mode of a skeleton mesh? That would be great. I did not find one.
