Is there a level instance device or instancing for grouped objects like the one in Fortnite Creative?

Looking to see if there is a way to create an instance of a group of props or building pieces to speed up the level design process. We used the level instance device a lot to speedup the process of building interiors, curious if there are plans to implement this back into UEFN.

No, level instancing is not available right now. How to use level instancing in UEFN?

However you could create your own blueprints.
Create a level in the content browser by clicking on “new” > “level”. Open that level and go to the world settings > check “is playset” and select a category. After you save the leven, a new folder will appear in your content browser called “prefabs”. In that folder you can find the new level as prefab. Dag it into your original level and done. :grinning:

Note: When you place the prefab in a level it will not sync with the level. For that we need to wait for level instancing. :grinning:

Any ideas how “Device” category works?? Only “Prefab” category seems to add object to prefab folder.

I didn’t look into that. But I think that when you give the the device a “creative tag”, a new folder with devices will pop up.

I’m looking for a way to make a prefab/blueprint of device with prop to spawn it but there can’t find a solution.
