Is their a easy way to not scale the material with the mesh


I spend a lot of time piecing meshes together to make walls and floors so on. It strikes me it would be a lot more efficient if I could just scale one mesh across the whole area.

However, with this, I have the problem that the material is stretched too. I can manually go in and alter the material, however, this is the most time consuming and very hard to get right. Is there any trick or way I could alter the material so it scales on all the X,Y and Z as I scale the mesh?
