Is the migrate asset tool supposed to delete original asset(s)?

Hello Folks!

Just a quick question on the asset migration tool. When I run the migrate tool on an asset, it successfully copies the asset to the new project. The issue I am having is that the original asset in the original project is removed. So the tool is doing a move operation instead of a copy operation. Is this the correct behaviour? If so, is there a way to copy an asset and its dependencies to a new project without removing the original?

Thanks!

It doesn’t. It’s some sort of display filter bug.

If you revisit the folder, everything will be back to normal

I’m looking exactly yo the opposite ! : I often need to “move” assets from one project to another with their dependencies. Unfortunately, the Migrate tool keeps original into source project. Deleting by hand is quite hard to remove dependencies as well. I’ll love an option into the Migrate tool like "migrate and keep (copy) " and “migrate and delete (move)”. This will make my life easier

I was having this same issue and ClockworkOcean’s answer was correct. It does seem to be a bug. But for me, just revisiting the folder did not resolve the issue. I had to close down the project and reopen it in order to see the assets.

But the assistance is much appreciated! Ty!
