I’ve followed a tutorial for retargeting wildlife to the Fortnite wolf/boar skeleton mesh and it didn’t work so i thought I’m doing something wrong.
I contacted the author of the tutorial and he tested numerous previous rigs he had done and nothing is now working. I dont have the full knowledge of this system but he does and we both strongly believe its broken

The retargeted mesh never retargets so its like the mesh is just moving about and not making the limbs ect move
Please try clicking “Add Default Ops” before assigning the IK Rigs to your retargeter. In the latest version, the retargeter has been made modular and by default we don’t add any operations to it.
In light of this confusion, we may add default ops by default. But for now you must click the button to add them.
When creating a retargeter asset. There is a button on the toolbar called “Add Default Ops”. Click that before you assign your source/target IK Rigs. Then it will transfer animation.

One of our amazing QA members created a quick video discussing the recent changes to the retargeting systems in the UEFN updates.
Creators now need to add the correct Ops in the Retargeter for things to work.
Open their IK Retargeter asset
In the top, where you normally see Running Retarget and Asset Settings, they need to select Add Default Ops
